5th grade party

Regan is in her last year of elementary school this year. Sixth grade officially starts middle school in our area. So to celebrate the end of elementary the parents put on a 5th Grade Party. We took the kids to our local bowling alley. Boy did they have a great time! I caught Regan dancing to the tunes. Too bad she caught me filming...

So I decided to give it another go. Watch for a minute and you will get to see her continue to boogy. 

This was such a fun day. After we went bowling a friend and I put on the game show Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader for the kids in the gym. We had their teachers as contestants. Yep there was lots of laughter! 

Summer is here

We are seriously enjoying seeing the sun here. We don't get to see it too often here in the Pacific Northwest so we are out enjoying every last drop of it! 

End of the Softball season

And we have now finished yet another sports season and here is Regan and her team getting their trophies at the end of the season pizza party.

Map for the playground

Here is what I worked on this past week with the High School art club. A map of the United States for the girls' school playground. Above is a picture of Erin's class checking it out. They were all asked to sit on their favorite state.

Notice Erin is sitting on the state she was born in? After all the work this took it makes my heart sing to see the kids enjoying this map!

Two Miss Smarty Pants in our house!

I went to the last Award assembly of the year at the girls' school today and guess what? Regan got an award for Academic Excellence. This picture above is of Regan and her teacher Mrs. Nelson. 

Then of course never one to be outdone Erin got the exact same award today as well for Academic Excellence. It was a proud day for mom and dad! Above is a picture of Erin and her teacher Mrs. Merrick. This teacher may look a bit familiar as this is the same 2nd grade teacher Regan had.
