Catching up on scrapbooking

Here are some pages I finished today. I normally am not a fan of orange but I like it coordinated with this blue. These pictures were all taken from a field trip at Regan's school in Alaska her first grade year. They released salmon into the river. They also learned quite a bit about environment issues that day. Plus got to try their hands at fly fishing. It was quite the event!

BFFs!

I asked Regan today who her best friend was thinking she would tell me one of the girls in her class and she said Sam of course! Her and her cousin Samuel are 2 days apart in age Regan was born on Friday and Sam on Sunday. The two of them have been close and got along very well from day one. Even though it is sometimes a year or more between times they see each other with the distance we often live from each other when they see each other again it is like they pick up right where they left off. So sweet! I truely love this picture! I am doubting it will last much longer that the two will hold hands walking down the road!

Happy Birthday Maggie

Christian's baby our golden retriever Maggie turned 5 this month. So I thought I would share a picture of the girls taking her for a walk.

Air Jordan

Went to watch Jordan run in his track meet today. Shocker I know but it was raining here. I can only imagine how fun it is to run in that tiny outfit in cold rain. I am just glad to see him participating in a sport at school. He seems to be enjoying it and its keeping him busy.

So excited!

I am going to my first crafty event here in Washington tonight. I am getting all my stuff ready to go for my card swap. I'm meeting a bunch of ladies that are members of an online website called splitcoast stampers. I have been a member of it for the past 4 years. I hope I am not way out of my league as far as talent!

Speaking of emotions I found this story Regan wrote at school. There were questions she had to answer here goes:

Tell of a time you were nervous...I had my tounsels out.

How did you know that you were nervous?

When my mom told me how the dr. get's them out she said "they yous a knife to get them out!"

How did you get over being nervous?

They put me to sleep.

(I typed it just the way Regan spelled it ;)

Are we still in Alaska?

Yes it is almost April and it snowed here today! Nothing stuck but it was very reminiscent of our days in Alaska. So I thought I would share some pictures we took right before we left last summer. The last is of a moose that gave birth right in the lawn of the hospital Christian works at on base! Yes thats the baby sitting right next to her. The others are of the unbelievably beautiful landscape.

Crafty Abby

Most of you know I love all things crafty. So as this is my blog I have decided you will have to indulge me and let me share my projects every now and then (and maybe more often than that ;)

Here are some scrapbook pages I just finished of our last zoo trip in Tacoma. We got seasons passes this year so expect to see more zoo pictures. I journaled on a seperate page that had Christian and Jordan standing next to each other:

I remember the first time we took Jordan to the zoo. It was in St. Louis and it was just the three of us then. He was such a little guy and he was soooo excited. We could hardly keep up with him he was running from exhibit to exhibit saying yep I see it and that one too. Now I look at this picture and think where did the time go? He is as tall as his dad now!

Regan gets a new pair of glasses

So Regan got a new pair of glasses today. What do you think of her new Hannah Montana glasses? I'm kinda sad because I so loved her Barbie glasses! It is going to take some getting used to as she has never had nose pieces on her glasses before.

Regan's first Science Fair

Regan participated in her first Science Fair last month. With the help of daddy and Jordan she put together a project using electromagnets. I thought the shirt was highly appropriate for the day as well ;)

Here is our house that we are renting here in Washington now. Such a nice house but notice how close the house is behind us. That is pretty typical for houses here in this area. So over populated here that houses seem to be built right on top of one another! The other pics are of some of the decorating I have done since we moved in. I am so loving those vinyl letters! So easy and great for renters! I finally finished a shadow box for each of the kids with some of their baby items in each of them. I am thinking of putting some kind of a quote or something cute above Erin's shadow box still thinking. . .

I am kind of doing my picture in backward order. I apologize for that. These are from Palm Sunday. Regan's Sunday school lined up and waved palms at Jesus and his disciples as they walked past them. The other is the garden of gethsemane craft project she made that day.

The girls enjoyed painting their Easter eggs. We tried a new kit that rolled paint onto the eggs. A bit messy but lots of fun!

This picture Jordan took just for his Grandma Meyer. She told him she would give him some spending $$ if he came back with a picture of Cinderella's castle for her.

All three girls dressed up for Easter!

Easter 2008

So it was an unusual Easter this year. My first year not having all my kids for a holiday! Jordan went with his high school band to Disneyland in Anaheim California. He came back with a sunburned nose and exhausted. I know he had a really good time and I sure was glad to have him home. I was worried about him getting on a plane and all without me but he obviously was fine. Such a sweetheart checked in with me a couple times each day. He brought both his sister's home a gift from the park. He bought Erin a car from the Cars movie of course. Regan he tried to carry on a snow globe picture frame. He had to go back and put in his luggage because as you may know no liquids are allowed as carry ons on planes now.

Our church was so packed we got there ten minutes early and still had a really hard time finding a seat!
