Always a project

I found this table at a garage sale and fell in love with it. Hard to pass up for $5! Christian and Erin have worked MANY hours taking off the multiple layers of paint on this thing. I think we have finally decided to just paint it white again. It is a pretty little table that is going to look great in our new home...some day.

Build a Bear adventure

So on Cyber Monday I ordered Build a Bears that were not stuffed on sale that day only for $5. I figured this would be a great outting for all the cousins. I loved that we went on a week day when there we may have been the only ones in the store that day. So the employee working there had lots of extra time to devout to our kids. The putting the heart into the bear had a lot more steps than we have done in the past including rubbing it on your nose...what was the reason for that I am thinking so your bear will always know your smell or something silly like that. Anyway I love that all of the kids are still young enough that they were all game for all the steps and participated.

The girls each got a leopard bear and the boys a black lab dog.

I think Lauren may have left with the cleanest bear as she spend the majority of her time in this bath area. She really dug it! Of course the picking of the outfits is always such fun and they all left with a cuddly!

Okay our one shot from the museum

Went to the Museum today

I was going to put up all kinds of cool pictures of us going to the museum today but wouldn't you know the museum we went to today wouldn't allow photography within the museum!

So let me just tell you it was lots of fun to learn all about Washington state history with both girls!

Wise words from Dr. Suess...and mom

"I’m glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song, seems like we just got started and then before you know it, the times we had together were gone."

Okay the dust has settled, streamers taken down, leftovers eaten and it is time to let it sink in my baby is a baby no more he is a high school graduate. He will start his first official college class on Monday all be it an online class it is still a college class. As the mother of this graduate this is such a bittersweet time. So proud of his accomplishments and the young man he has turned into but so sad to say things from this day forward will be different...I will wipe away the tears and remember the wise words of Dr. Suess:

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

So Jordan "Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!"

But remember your mom is always here (with a bat if needed)

"I've heard there are troubles of more than one kind, some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've brought a big bat. I'm already you see,
now those troubles are going to have troubles with me!"

he he don't mess with a mama bear

Way cool

We went to iHop and I had to laugh when I saw this old man sitting behind us. I figured out he was not trying to look cool by turning his hat sideways but trying to keep the sun out of his eyes. How cute is he?

Mini golf and arcades

We had a lot of fun with all the cousins together. This is one of the activities we did. We went to Olympia to this indoor mini golf/arcade center. I didn't get any good pictures of the mini golf as it was a glow in the dark place that used black light so all the pictures ended up way too dark. But everyone had lots of fun, check out the slot cars!

Cute little girlies

Here are Lauren and Regan after going to get the mail for me. They did a pretty good job other than later that day a neighbor came by to bring two letters they dropped ;)

Hey they are pretty cute though huh?

Is there anything cuter?

Who wants to come over and help us mow?

The house we are still (hopefully not with false hope) hanging onto that we want to buy. We recently went over to check out with the family here. Look at how overgrown the backyard is! No one has touched this house since January and yes that grass is as tall as the fence. eeeek anyone want to come over and help us tackle this?

More grad shots

I am sure there will be plenty more pictures to come as I find them but here are more of our Jordan with his family on his big night.

It was a very full house as his class had over 200 graduates and we really should have gotten there much sooner to find better seats but we still really enjoyed getting to see our Jordan walk across the stage to receive his diploma.

Dinner in Vancouver

Here is what I got to do today. Mom and I drove down to Vancouver Washington to go have dinner and visit with my cousin April. I really loved catching up on old times. See the top picture? Her five year old son Hunter pictured in the bottom picture took the photo! I am thinking he may have a future in photography!
