Black Hole Sun

Went on a tour of Seattle today with my parents. It was an interesting tour about all of the true crimes that have happened in the area. Not sure I really needed to know a lot of that info but here are some of the things that really did interest me.
See the art structure above? This is found in Volunteer Park in Seattle. This piece is what inspired the song Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden. If you stand directly in front of the hole it will perfectly outline the Space Needle inside it. Cool huh?

Also did you know that Jimi Hendrix grew up in Seattle? We drove past the high school he attended. They have painted every door in purple after Hendrix's favorite song Purple Haze. This statue is a lifesize statue made of him. Who knew he was so short?

They also drove us past the graves of both Bruce Lee and his son Brandon Lee. This was found in Seattle as well in the Lakeview cemetery.
