Seattle Aquarium

During Christmas break we took the girls to the Seattle Aquarium yep Jordan is at the age that he seems to be opting out of this kind of stuff.

Regan had a great time trying out her new camera. Only to discover when she got in the car none of her pictures saved on her memory card. Because her memory card was all full from the episode of Spongebob she decided to record on her card. Yeah I know...

They had a neat area that the kids could touch all the sealife. But the closest my girly girls got to that was a one finger quick touch you see Erin doing here. Then run away squealing ewwwwww!

The octopus was the highlight of the trip. This guy was quite entertaining. Very active and put on quite a show for everyone when it was feeding time putting his tentacles high in the air and pulling his food down to him. They had no top on his tank. They said they had to lower the water level because a couple times he crawled right over the side and they found him on the ground! Yikes!

It was rather chilly in this aquarium as parts of it were open to the outside. All the sealife found in this aquarium is native to our state. So interesting to see what I always considered exotic Sea Life is now a part of my home state! Beautifully colored fish, coral, and sharks to boot!
