My kids were oh so thrilled to be able to shoot fireworks this year! We haven't been able to do fireworks ourselves since we lived in Missouri 8 years ago. Every where else it has been illegal to do them inside city limits. Actually in Alaska we were still dealing with 20 hours of day light and it was not so much fun to do fireworks in the broad daylight ;)
Funny things today:
watching the kids (including Christian) chase after the little army parachute guy
Erin said oh Man Jordan do you have to light them?
Regan said why is there so much smoke?

Wow and here I was feeling really bad for my kids to have to do the little kiddie ones. Jacob loves the big ones! I'm glad yours got to light them this year.
It looks like everyone had a great time. What kind of tree is that in the picture? It looks like it has fruit.

We have a couple fruit trees out front. I think that one is a cherry tree and we also have a plum tree as well.
